With summer full speed ahead, there are a variety of different plumbing issues that could potentially wreak havoc inside your home. Luckily, at Nebrasky Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, we have you covered. Check out these four hassle-free summer plumbing tips:
- If you and your family are taking a vacation that will last more than a few days, make sure to turn down your water heater in order to save energy.
- If you decide to have a barbecue, make sure you are aware of what you are putting down the garbage disposal. Things you should avoid at all costs include corn husks, bones, potato peels and grease.
- Make sure to give your washing machine a break from all of the laundry. Inspect the hoses and remember, the rubber hose connected to your washing machine is only supposed to last for about 3 years. Make sure to replace them at the right time.
- Water your lawn either early in the morning or the evening. If you decide to water the lawn in the middle of the day, the water can more easily evaporate due to the direct sunlight and heat. This keeps you from wasting any water in the long run.
